Mine & Mill Equipment Costs Estimator's Guide, Capital & Operating Costs

The Cost Data and Advice You Need to Make Informed Mining Decisions

The following listings of equipment capital and operating costs are taken directly from the current Mining Cost Service Manual and Mine and Mill Equipment Cost Estimator's Guide. In addition to the items listed here, these manuals contain entries for 74 additional excavators, 50 additional haulers, 16 dozers, 6 graders, and 28 additional drills, plus 3,000 other sizes and types of equipment used in surface and underground mining, reclamation, and milling. The Mining Cost Service Manual contains only part of the equipment cost data, but it also includes a broad range of important data about other mining cost centers, such as labor, smelting, and electric power.

The equipment listed here represents a typical suite of equipment for a 10,000 tonne per day (5,000 tpd ore + 5,000 tpd waste) surface mine with a 3,500 ft. ore haul and a 1,800 ft. waste haul. This equipment list will be maintained permanently at this web site and the costs will be updated periodically for your reference. Costs are typical U.S. costs in U.S. dollars. They can be adjusted for other economies by adjusting to local unit prices in direct proportion to the unit prices listed here.
